What was going on

Celine's Bloemen is the flower shop on the Langstraat in Arnemuiden. It sells fresh flowers, dried flowers, artificial flowers and decoration, and makes floral work for weddings. It started with growing and selling dried flowers from the barn at home; the shop opened in 2024.

The old site had not caught up with that story. The homepage still spoke of a dried flower studio, and the shop with its address and opening hours only appeared on the contact page. Ordering or delivery was not mentioned anywhere. The new site had to put the shop first, and add what the old one lacked: having a bouquet delivered, a flower subscription and a webshop.

What we looked into first

First we worked out what was already there and what the site needed.

  • What images are there already? The photos of bouquets, wreaths and weddings were on the old site. We took them from there and prepared them for the web.
  • What does the business say itself? The owner wrote the texts for the pages, from the story behind the business to the subscriptions and the rental list with sizes and quantities. We put them on the site.
  • Where does it deliver? Only nearby: on Walcheren and in Lewedorp and Nieuwdorp. The owner deliberately did not want to ship by post across the Netherlands.
  • What is needed to pay online? Payments run through Mollie, on the business's own account. Until that account exists, nobody checks out online.
  • What makes the brand recognisable? The logo: a refined serif in capitals, in copper, inside an arch. That is where the colour, the lettering and the shapes of the site come from.

The choice, and why

The common thread: the shop first, and the business updates whatever changes often itself.

  • The shop up front. The homepage opens with Bloemenwinkel in Arnemuiden and a button to the shop. Then come having a bouquet delivered and the weddings. The shop page shows the opening hours and a button to plan your route.
  • Colour, lettering and shape from the logo. The copper from the logo is the only accent colour, on warm bone and sand. Headings are set in a refined serif, like the name in the logo, and the menu in a typeface that resembles it. The arch from the logo returns as a frame around the large photos.
  • Update what changes often yourself. Opening hours, a notice, bouquets, products, stock and delivery costs live in the business's own admin. Fixed texts rarely change; we update those.
  • Online checkout behind a switch. The webshop, bouquet ordering and subscriptions with iDEAL are built. Until the business's own payment account is connected, online checkout is off and ordering goes through WhatsApp. Once the switch goes on, everything returns to the menu by itself.
  • Local delivery, not by post. Shipping across the Netherlands is built into the site, but is switched off at the owner's request.
  • Changes visible straight away. Pages are built once and then served quickly. When the owner saves something in the admin, that copy is refreshed immediately. The photos have been converted to lightweight files.

What we delivered

Agensea designed and built the site and the admin, processed the owner's texts and put the site live on the business's own address.

What changes day to day

What changes for visitors, and for the business itself?

  • The shop first. A visitor sees straight away where the shop is and when it is open, and plans a route with one click.
  • Ordering in a message. Having a bouquet delivered, requesting a subscription or asking for the wedding brochure opens WhatsApp, with the question already filled in. For a subscription, the chosen bouquet and how often are already in the message. The first delivery and the payment are then arranged together.
  • Update it yourself, visible straight away. Opening hours, a notice at the top of the site (for instance when the shop is closed over the holidays), bouquets, products and stock are updated by the owner. Anything saved is on the site straight away. The opening hours are also included in the data Google reads from the site.
  • Photos from the phone. A photo for a bouquet or product can go straight from the phone into the admin. The admin resizes it first, so it is not too large to upload.
  • Fixed texts through Agensea. If the business wants to change the fixed texts on the pages, it lets us know and we update them.

Where it stands now

The site has been live on celinesbloemen.nl since 26 October 2026. Agensea hosts the site, and since the launch the domain is with Agensea too. Online checkout stays off until the business's own payment account is connected; until then you order through WhatsApp or in the shop. Logged in to the admin, the owner can already preview the order page and the webshop. One switch then puts them online for everyone.
