Agensea respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this statement we explain which data we collect, for what purpose, how long we keep it and which rights you have. Any questions? Email us at info@agensea.nl.
1. Data controller
Agensea VOF (formerly Zee-Zicht Media), located at Edisonweg 41 C1, 4382 NV Vlissingen, is the data controller for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement.

- Phone: +31 6 81 38 36 01
- KvK: 97212695
- VAT: NL867953287B01
2. Which data we process
Depending on how you interact with us, we process:
- Contact details: name, company name, email address and phone number when you fill in a form, request a demo or email us.
- Project data: information you provide as part of a quote or assignment.
- Usage data: visitor statistics from our own measurement, without third parties (pages, clicks, time on site, device, country). See the Cookies section.
- Company data: the name of the company or organisation behind the network you visit the site from, or of the company you belong to if you send a form yourself or open a personal link from us, and which pages were viewed. See the Company recognition section.
- Communication: messages you send us by email or through forms.
3. Legal basis and purpose
We process data on the basis of:
- Performance of an agreement: to issue quotes and deliver assignments.
- Legitimate interest: to improve our services, communicate with you and recognise and follow up on business visitors.
- Legal obligation: such as tax administration.
- Consent: for optional cookies and newsletters, and to link your browser to your company when you make yourself known to us (see the Company recognition section).
4. Retention periods
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. We keep prospects' contact details for a maximum of 24 months after the last point of contact. We keep client data for the duration of the agreement and for up to 7 years afterwards (statutory retention obligation for records).
5. Sharing with third parties
Agensea only shares data with processors that are necessary for our services (such as hosting, email and administration providers), always under a data processing agreement. We never sell data to third parties. For company recognition we look up an IP address with RIPE NCC, Cloudflare, ipinfo and Mnemonic; see the Company recognition section.
6. Cookies
Our website places functional cookies that are needed for it to work correctly.
Our own measurement. To know how many different people use the site and how many come back, your browser keeps one random counting number (in browser storage, not as a cookie). That number says nothing about who you are and is never shared. We use it for counting. It is replaced after thirteen months. We only store an encrypted derivative of it and we do not store your IP address. Such first-party statistics without third parties fall under the exemption in the Dutch Telecommunications Act, so we do not ask for consent for counting. If you chose Accept in the cookie notice, we also use the number to link your browser to your company when you make yourself known to us (see the Company recognition section). Without that consent we do not. Prefer not to be counted at all? Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser: your browser then gets no counting number, we link nothing and you are only counted per day.
Marketing cookies are only placed after your consent through the cookie notice. With them, Google, Meta and ChatGPT can see which ad brought you to us, so we can measure which ads work. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing applies immediately.
7. Company recognition
If you visit our site from the network of a company or organisation, we would like to know which company that is. That way we can help business visitors better and get in touch at the right moment.
How it works. When you visit, we look up which network your IP address belongs to. That information is in public registers of internet addresses, such as the one kept by RIPE NCC, the organisation that hands out IP addresses in Europe. If the network is registered to a company or organisation, we note that name with your visit. If you are at home or on a mobile network, we usually recognise nothing. For the lookup, only the IP address goes to RIPE NCC and to the DNS service of Cloudflare, without any other details about your visit. If you are in the Netherlands on a fixed line and the register only names your internet provider, we also check whether a company has put a name on that address, such as vpn.company.nl. We look for that in our own list of office addresses first, and otherwise with Mnemonic, a Norwegian service that keeps track of which names pointed to which address. Mnemonic then only receives the IP address. On a home line we only count names that really belong to an office, such as a company's webmail, and we only link a visit to that company once their own website mentions a Chamber of Commerce number or an address. A name of your own on a home line often belongs to a family, and that is not a company. We also ask ipinfo which province the network is in, so our figures per province are correct. We do that when you are at home too, but not on mobile internet. ipinfo only receives the IP address.
What we keep. Only the name of the company, public details from that company's own website (such as address and phone number) and which pages were viewed from that network. We do not keep your IP address itself. We do keep networks that are registered to an organisation, and an encrypted derivative of the address from which the address itself cannot be recovered, so we do not have to look it up again every time. We delete that derivative after seven days, or after thirty days if it belongs to someone who made themselves known to us (see below).
No individuals. We link a visit to a company, not to you as a person. Only when you send a form yourself, for example for contact, a quote, a demo, the Lab or the website scan, do we note the domain of your email address with your visit, for example yourcompany.com. Your email address itself is not part of the measurement. For free addresses such as Gmail, Hotmail or Ziggo we note nothing.
If you make yourself known. If you send a form with a business email address, or open a personal link you received from us (for example to a demo or a proposal), we know which company you belong to, and that visit belongs to that company. If you chose Accept in the cookie notice, we also link your browser to that company. Earlier visits (up to ninety days back) and later visits from that browser then also belong to that company. This only works through an encrypted code of the counting number in your browser (see the Cookies section), without names or email addresses. Without that consent we do not link your browser. If you are on a fixed internet line, at the office or at home, we also keep the encrypted code of that address with your company for thirty days, so other visits from that address belong to your company too. We do not do that on mobile internet, privacy services such as iCloud Private Relay, servers and VPNs, or lines where a provider puts many customers behind one address, because many people share the same address there. If you have Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on, we link nothing, not even when you open a personal link. The link to your browser expires thirteen months after your last visit.
Why we are allowed to do this. We recognise companies by their network, and by a form or personal link, on the basis of legitimate interest: we want to know which companies are interested, so we can help them better and follow up. We only link your browser to your company with your consent from the cookie notice. We only look at organisations, do not keep IP addresses and do not sell or share this data.
Prefer not to be recognised? Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser. We will then not recognise your company and will not link your browser to anything. If you are a freelancer or sole trader, the name of your business may also be your own name. Want to object, or want to know what we have about your company? Email info@agensea.nl and we will remove your company's data, including the link with your browser.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing: TLS encryption, access management, regular backups and security updates.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction or erasure of data
- Restriction of the processing
- Object to the processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent given earlier
Want to make a request? Email us at info@agensea.nl. We respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
10. Changes
This privacy statement may be amended. You will always find the most current version on this page. In the event of significant changes, we will inform existing clients by email.
